Happy New Year!

It is New Years Eve and I am getting ready to go out and celebrate with friends and drinks and who knows what. My favorite bars are open until tomorrow afternoon so I am going out late and staying out until the sun rises on the New Year. I had a pretty fucking great year though many friends and loved ones had a crappy one. Which makes me unhappy so I had my share of downs too along with some pretty major ups. I will post my Facebook status thing on here along with one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands The Boswell Sisters. Hope everyone has a great night and thanks for reading my blog all! The amount of hits I get on this thing still shocks me! Very happy about where I am in life right now and for all that is to come in 2015!

I think most people I know are happy to see 2014 come to an end. Every year has some good stuff and some bad stuff but this one seemed to be particularly hard on many people that I care about. So that sucks. And I won't even go into anything political on here but hopefully some change for the better is on the way. Besides the bad there have also been weddings and new babies born or on the way and many more positive things. I had an insanely great summer in Europe this year and cant wait until July for another one. Lots of output from my band coming up in 2015 so I am VERY excited about that! As for resolutions I have already been working on mine. Writing, playing guitar and starting a French class at The New School soon. So i will just keep on with what i am already doing with myself. A new year won't magically make things great for everyone but its nice to feel like we all have a clean, new slate. (Even though time is cyclical and not linear and thanks to eternal recurrence a parallel Eden is living on Mars running a smoothie stand with Tony Danza). Have a great night everyone! All my favorite bars are open way after 4am tonight so I know I will! !

Short JewMas post from CT!

Well, it is December 25th meaning it is xmas and though I am a Jewess it's more fun to give and get gifts on this day. And watch Bad Santa and Elf over and over. Only here for two days so I figured I would do a short post. With various pics from the year. 2014 had a lot of ups and downs. Many of my friends had a REALLY hard time this year. Deaths and tragedies. I had some bad spots here and there but I also had one of the best summers ever so that counted for a lot. And I am already working on my "resolutions" for 2015. I am taking a french class at The New School in Feb. Learning guitar from John and beginning to make some dough. Was able to buy John a $300 78 for Xmas which felt great to be able to do. He deserves that and so much more. It's been an insane year in many ways. The past month I have been on so many marches and rallies. And will continue to do so in 2015. Shit needs to change. Now.
That first pic is of me and Leee Childers the famed photographer who passed away. RIP Leee you were one helluva character! Under that is Tommy "Ramone" and his gf playing a gig with us. Tommy passed away over the summer from a very rare cancer. Very sad about this.
Then on a happier note I found this old pic of Holly making Starlet dance to Moby playing at a party by Mars Bar. I think I went to that at 2am wasted and everyone there was sober. Good times!
Then we have a packed Ray's on a weekend at 3am. And next to him an empty lame bodega! Just the way we like it! Guy priced his items a dollar less than Ray's so F him!
Then who doesn't want to cook SENSUALLY?
Then a few pics from some of the marches. I have a ton of photos and videos but there is so much of it online I have no need to go crazy with it on here. NY1 in Union Square interviewing protestors. A march down the FDR and some REALLY lame cops at the Cops Lives Matter Rally which was complete insanity.

Shut the shit Down.

Just popping in since I have not posted in a while here. Been going to most of the rallies and marches that have been happening in NYC since the Eric Garner verdict came down and I have tons of pics and videos in my phone but I am just really fucking busy lately!
Did some extra work and boy did it suck! At the set of Gotham for 16 hours a few nights ago and still feel tired and in pain. I should be in that episode though after all that...It's called Scarecrow and it's episode 115 in January. I ma very happy to be in SAG and am going to go to auditions and take some acting workshops but no more extra BG for me. Money is decent but my whole life was disrupted by it. Up for almost 48 hours twice in one week. John was not happy. Cats were not happy. Friends, family..everyone worried cause i was so out of it for days. It was quite an experience though!
Lots of band stuff going on too...John's book still awaiting approval if he gets it from Abrams...and we got some Crumb artwork almost done now for the cover of The Old Time Radio Show double CD/vinyl album we are putting out in a few months. Getting there!
But this week and last were all about the marches. Over 100,000 came out today. I was so emotional. Saw so many people I knew pass by in the crowds. The Police Lives Matter rally is the 19th and OH BOY is that going to be something! Cops doing whatever the fuck they want to black people is beyond fucked and me and many others are just sick of it. It has to end. I don't know what will come from all this but the Gurley case and the Tamir Rice case are going on and if those cops get off the shit is REALLY going to hit the fan. Enough is enough.
Nothing can describe the feeling of marching with tens of thousands of people for a cause you believe in deeply. It's sad and you feel elated all at the same time. Pics coming soon. Some pic i did not take but only retweeted got posted with my twitter handle attached to it on Gawker today and boy was that fucking crazy. People are nuts I tell ya!
