Mob 47 at C squat...NYC smells like K2 and pee.

I took a training course on how to administer Narcan the other day...just a quick one with the nasal spray and the shot. I just can't take walking by all these people dying on the streets and turning blue and the EMT's being called and everyone standing around hoping the person doesn't die. It's not that hard to use a nasal spray and it can save a life. Shot isn't that bad either if I can check my cats blood sugar levels every 3 days I can give a muscle shot to a passed out person.
Anyway enough about how fentanyl and K2 is jut about killing everybody lately! I worked the door at a big show at C...Swedish Band Mob 47 played and it was packed...and fun as fuck. Life has been wacky since I got back and I am glad another heat wave is coming. Can't believe it's September now and I am ending this blog 3 months! That was the plan for years now and it really makes sense now as I am just too busy for this...writing and rewriting my book is going to be years and this little funny blog did it's job. I think Bob Arihood would agree it's time to stop.
So here is some stuff....always stuff I am just FULL of stuff...and will just keep on posting this stuff until it is done. Not the stuff...the blog. Blogs are so 2009 now.
First the baby hawk who has been sick off and on but seemed to be okay today when I saw him/her eating a dead thing. Some pics from the 80th anniversary of B&H Dairy...some weird shit on the street..oh those college kids throw out the darnedest things...Jerry Faust enjoying the Charlie Parker jazz fest with Four Loko in a beer cozy...McDonalds is looking pretty good there on 1st Avenue..and Heston was correct. Soylent Green is made out of Gluten free people.

A Tasting at Ray's Candy Store.

I missed this event last year cause I was in France but this was really funny and fun..Matt Rosen organized a tasting event at Ray's and people came by for two hours and sampled fries, fried oreos and other staples of the place. People asked to get their pic taken with Ray who was in the back making the food and that rainbow poster is Ray once commented on Big Gay Ice Cream and how maybe he should change the name of his shop to Big Gay Ray's Candy Store.
All in all a nice event on a slow Monday that brought in a lot of people.
Tonight is the 80th anniversary of B&H Dairy and they are having a party/tasting too...not THAT should be pretty crazy I imagine! Will try to get a few pics there too when I walk by with John for a few minutes.

Last of the pics from summer with the Crumbs in France!

I am so backed up cause I have been out every night since I got back but I want to get the rest of the France pics up I can move on and get back to some NYC stuff. Crazy show at C squat with Mob 47 the other night...I was happy to work the door cause it was ONE MILLION DEGREES DOWNSTAIRS. Last night there was a David Bowie dance party and film night at Morus and that was crazy fun too...Since I got back I have slapped people awake who are nodding out on the street and in the dog wakes them up and its fun! I don't want the dogs to end up in kill shelters if the drugged out kid gets taken away by an ambulance. I guess this is my new thing now. At least I wake them up.
Pretty much back into the NYC groove now though this K2 shit seems to have gotten way worse. 90 people OD'd in CT? Killing in a park near me over it? WTF is going on?
Anyhooch, here are some more France pics...gotta move on from the great vacation!
There are probably some doubles here but I wanted to get the weird stuff up that I saw at the brocante in Sauve when it was like 102 out and I was passing out from the heat but coudn't help but look at all the weird crap. That food truck had the best burgers I have ever had. Happy I am back at the gym though and lost 5lbs since I have returned! My winter is going to be working, working out and writing. Can't ask for any more fun than that except for when I go out and get blacked out drunk! Too bad the wine here is undrinkable to me now after France.

Some more pics from France though I am back in NYC now. Derp.

I am going to post the rest of my pics from france before I start doing NYC was too short a trip only one month..sob...I am so spoiled. I wanted another 2-3 weeks but we did a lot there every day and it was just so relaxing. Also productive as we played music a ton this year. And finished our next album. John is already working the VMA's so we never really got over our jet leg as our Swedish family is here visiting. Seeing Frozen was great and the kids had a good time. I always feel inspired after I go to France being around such creative people that it rubbed off and I am at the Bean now writing a short essay about some funny life experiences I have had. I will edit it and send it off to friends for critique. A good warm up for my book which I have decided to start over and do some research first too. Essays are good because my life is so nuts I don't even have to try and make it funny. It just IS funny. I have had the weirdest life ever. And the most fun too I have to say. Every day is an adventure just the way I like it. I feel like i've calmed down a bit but everyone is like no you are buying a house in france next to the Crumbs and you go to weird art shows and events every night. I guess that is true. To me thats just what ya do in NYC. So here are ALMOST the last of the pics from France...just random stuff like Aline's 70th bday party in a fancy house..Robert got her a broom for her bday and I loved ragging on him for that for a week haha...but that was not the real gift and she actually needed a new broom badly! We have before and after pics of the brooms and some from the bday party. Along with other pics of swimming spots and stuff like that. Our friend Cedric has a Polaroid camera and he took some great pics with that. Well only 30 pics left from France to post! Been running around every day and night since I got back!

Heading to Paris Tomorrow!

Well our trip is coming to an end so we are slowly packing and heading back to NYC over the next few days. It's a long trip back so we are breaking it up and staying in Paris for a night before getting our flight the next day. Business class oh yeah! Got loads of pics and stuff from the past few days so I figured I would post some now as we watch Who Is America while we pack which is the best show ever! WE went to Nimes to go shopping and eat sushi..we went to a great art opening for our friend Laure Boin, Robert got freaked and hid in that corner but Laure is one of his favorite artists I think. I know she's one of mine. We did podcasts...swam...saw more great tobacco ads about impotence haha...went to an amazing birthday party for Aline up in the mountains during a lightning storm but I guess I can save that for my last post. Most of those pics and videos are family only really but a few are pretty funny and can be online. Aline wore her best groovy 60's pantsuit too!
